I’m a surface pattern designer who loves to tell stories. Initially working on paper with a pencil or brush and ink, I interpret the world around me to create playful, quirky and often humorous imagery and narratives in lively colour combinations.

Animals and palm trees feature heavily in my designs, along with other forms of plant life and architecture. Much of my inspiration comes from my travels or things I discover along my path, and my patterns often incorporate elements of my own visual language.

I have a degree in graphic design & illustration and MA in book art, and an all-consuming love of textiles and pattern. After working as a designer at a publishing house in London for some years, I decided to pursue my childhood dream and moved from the UK to make Florence, Italy, my home.

When I’m not working on my various projects, I can be found running or cycling around the Tuscan countryside, out walking my dog, planning the next adventure to scale a volcano, or curled up on the sofa with a good book.

All my designs start with
a story, often based on something I’ve seen.

It could be a shape on the wall
that catches my eye, or a lovely colour combination, and ideas will start to flow.
